Depends on the products, most all of the vendors support SIP in some
products (e.g. Nortel MCS, Siemens HiPath 8000, Cisco UCM 5.x) and rely on
proprietary protocols in others (e.g. Cisco Skinny, Nortel UniStim, Siemens
CoreNet, etc.)
