[VOIPSEC] FYI - Skype public chat created for Blue Box listeners and others

VOIPSEC readers,

Lately I've been finding that Skype's persistent group chats are an  
interesting way to keep connected with people of similar interests.   
Kind of like IRC chat rooms only without the server connection issues  
I always used to experience (and requiring you to use the Skype  
client, of course, so you don't have the choice you do with IRC).  I  
find them quite useful as a way to participate in conversations - or  
not if I simply don't have the time.  Skype also maintains a history  
of your chat that you can go back and scroll through - and has a  
search feature which works well.

In any event, now that I discovered the Skype 2.7 beta for Mac that  
lets you create public chats, I've set up a public chat for Blue Box  
listeners or  anyone else interested in VoIP security.  I don't know  
precisely what we'll be doing with the chat... perhaps just using it  
to alert people to when we're doing things with the show. Perhaps as  
a backchannel to include others from within the listener community.   
Perhaps yet another way to share links of new security issues that we  
should talk about.  I don't know, quite frankly.  Like the Facebook  
group and other things I've done, it's all part of my ongoing  
experimentation with these different communication media and how they  
may or may not help expand conversations.

inherently evil and would never let it on your computer, well... you
