[VOIPSEC] current state of affairs in SIP flood control

Hello mailing list members,
I have following question:
What practical and practicalbe solutions exist
that  try to cope with SIP flood problem,  like
avalanche re-registers often provoked for
malicious purposes, so basically SIP DDoS.
I am aware of draft-rosenberg-sipping-overload-reqs
but so far it delivers just requirements but no solutions.
So, who and with what goes one step further and tries to deliver
solutions also?
