Howdy,
My company is interested in developing contacts with people from
different VoIP and telco organizations to pool some expertise in dealing
with VoIP fraud. If any of the folks on the voipsec list are
interested, I'd love to hear from you.
I emphasize that this is about VoIP fraud, especially with respect to
service and/or billing-related abuse; other important security concerns
such as DoS attacks, hashing algorithms, etc are not the focus of this
particular appeal. This is also not for recruiting purposes.
We would like to make contact with folks that have VoIP and/or telco
experience, and who might be interested in sharing their knowledge about
fraud: what motivates it, what telltale signs exist that can be
monitored, etc. We'd like to know and be part of a small, very informal
group of people that can tap each other to ponder fraud-specific issues.
If you're interested, please respond off-list. I'd like to hear from
you. If you don't mind saying, I'd also be interested in knowing how
you are involved in handling fraud. Or if you know someone that you
think would be good for this, please pass my contact info along to them,
exercising discretion of course.
Cheers,
--
