You might want to take a look at section 3.2.1 in
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-sipping-nat-scenarios-03.
txt
This may we well 'get rid' of STUN and ICE in a certain scenario but
does not remove the need for such solutions as Symmetric RTP relies on
there always being a public entity in the call.

We've found a nice way to get rid of the stun and ice from the SIP
client.
It's already implemented in Yate0.9.0pre4 which is GPL. A nice diagram
