David Endler is the Director of Security Research for 3Com's security division, TippingPoint. In this role, he leads 3Com's internal product security testing, VoIP Security Center, and vulnerability and malware research.

As Chairman of VOIPSA, he is responsible for leading and managing the business of VOIPSA to provide clear direction and focus, ensuring that VOIPSA committees and projects are structured and run according to a culture which upholds the highest standards of integrity and adherence to VOIPSA's open and vendor-neutral vision.

Prior to 3Com, Endler led the research arm of iDEFENSE, a security intelligence firm. In previous lives, he has performed security research for Xerox Corporation, the National Security Agency, and MIT.

Endler is the author of numerous articles and papers on computer security, is the coauthor of Hacking Exposed VoIP, and holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science from Tulane University.
